We are pleased to welcome you to Flippers Dive in Khao Lak, Thailand for your PADI scuba diving courses, day trips to Richelieu Rock, Koh Bon and Koh Tachai, as well as liveaboard trips at the Similan and Surin National Parks.

Flippers Dive is a German-managed dive school located in the center of Khao Lak, 100 kilometers north of Phuket. With over 10 years of experience in the field, we can offer you the best diving trips around Khao Lak and accompany you with the highest level of professionalism throughout your scuba diving training.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

As a diving school, we ensure that each of our students receives individual coaching to become a well-trained and safe scuba diver. Our specialized teaching is for people who may have had an unpleasant experience or are afraid to take the first step to getting their heads underwater. We use newly developed training methods to take away your fear, relax your mind and acquire your scuba diving skills.

Khao Lak is located in Phang Nga province, is approximately an hour’s drive from Phuket International Airport. It is known for its quiet atmosphere and privacy which are good for relaxing. Khao Lak is a dream destination for your beach and adventure vacation, with a 20-kilometer beachfront and mountains in the background. Many nice resorts along the coastline provide a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere for your vacation. The sunset views here are truly breathtaking!

Many divers are now wearing gloves to protect their hands. Even with gloves, this should be avoided because the physical impact can cause environmental damage.

We're organizing beach clean-ups regularly to protect our surroundings from debris and trash from the ocean.

Use ECO-Friendly Products

Most people are unaware that ordinary sunscreens can harm corals and reefs. Using reef-friendly sunscreens and cosmetics is not an expensive way to protect our oceans. Products are available in our shop.

Don't Feed The Fish

Fish feeding is a popular method of attracting marine creatures for tourists to view. It may appear to be harmless, yet it is harmful to fish health and the larger ecology. Fish feeding has the potential to disturb the delicate balance of marine ecosystems.

Great experience – absolutely recommended! I did my open water course at this diving school and was totally thrilled. Jörg, my diving instructor, was super patient, motivating and extremely professional. Thanks to his calm demeanor, I felt safe and in good hands right from the start. A few weeks before my vacation in Thailand, I searched intensively for a suitable diving school so that I could finally do my Open Water Diver course. I came across Jörg and Flippers Dive in Khao Lak - and I couldn't have made a better choice! Even the first contact with Jörg was extraordinary: personal, honest, warm and simply totally likeable. You immediately notice that it's not just mass processing here, but that the passion for diving and people are the focus. After a short, pleasant exchange, it was clear to me - this is where I'm taking my course! I conveniently completed the theory online in advance so that we could start the dives directly on site. And what can I say – it was great! A total of four dives with all the necessary exercises, accompanied by Jörg himself - no other students, no rush, no distractions. Instead, a calm, safe learning atmosphere with a lot of patience, specialist knowledge and humor. I would also particularly like to highlight the all-round service: personal pickup, great conversations along the way and a real feeling of trust and friendship. Jörg takes his time, explains everything in detail and ensures that you feel completely comfortable underwater. Conclusion: If you want to learn to dive in Khao Lak or simply experience great dives, Flippers Dive is the right place for you. Even before we left for vacation, we were able to clarify initial details with Jörg via WhatsApp and decided to go diving with the Flippers. Once we arrived, we arranged to meet at the shop (again via WhatsApp) to book dives. Up to that point, everything was perfect. Prompt and extremely friendly communication. We then arranged everything else in the shop. Jörg is also a warm and friendly, but also extremely professional, diving instructor. The next day, we started four days of diving. Unfortunately, we were without Jörg for three days, but that was unavoidable due to a course he was taking at the same time. We were still in good hands with a guide from ME Divers, who, as a partner of the Flippers, provide the boat. It's a bit cramped on board, but overall well organized, with good guides and delicious food. Of course, there's plenty to drink too. We rented a BCD and regulator from Jörg, and the equipment was very decent, which gave us a good feeling. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!
